Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, comprising of Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune was established under section 3 of the University Grants Commission by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Secondary and Higher Education vide their Notification No. F. 9 39/2001-U.3 dated 11/01/2003 This status was accorded in recognition of high quality of education imparted through the state-of-the-art infrastructure, dedicated faculty and ascertaining the potential of the Institute for excellence.
